The Bean Trees

Sooo...for Accelerated English,I had a summer assignment. It was to read the book The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver. It's a really good book. Its about this girl from Kentucky(which is where I'm from) that moves to Arizona and picks up a kid on the way.It has a lot in it about like single parenting and immigration laws and stuff. The only way I can really explain it is by giving you the description on the back of the book.
"Clear-eyds and spirited,Taylor Greer grew up poor in rural Kentucky with the goals of avoiding pregnancy and getting away. But when she heads west with high hopes and a barely functinal car,she meets the human condition head-on. By the time Taylor arrives in Tucson,Arizona, she has acquired a completely unexpected child, a three year old Amerian Indian girl named Turlt, and must somehow come to terms with both motherhood and the necessity of putting down roots. Hers is a story about love nad friendship, abandonment and belonging, and the discovery of surprising resources in apparently empty places."
At first when I started reading it, I thought it was lame, but the farther along in it I got,the more intresting it became. You all should really read it if you like to read often.
Dunno why I wanted to make a post like this but oh well.
Love yall!
